Question Noobie help - Speedtouch ADSL USB Suse 8.2

Hi

Setup:
Suse 8.2
AMD T/Bird Processor
Speedtouch USB (Frog)

Problem:
Can't get online...

I have got instructions from various sources, all requiring the 'speedmgmt.tar.gz' from Speedtouch. The driver Speedtouch have is a standard .zip (Windows) file and has two .eni files in it. This makes following any instruction rather difficult...

I do have the 'mgmt.o' file converted from the origonal Windows file supplied with the modem, but absolutely no idea what to do with it.

If any one could provide some straight forward instructions, it would be greately appreciated. If any one could point me in the direction of the 'speedmgmt.tar.gz' file it would be nice, then I could have a go at following Suse's own instructions.

Thanks in advance
Steve

Here is the Google search I input

Here is the first entry on the search - a Howto with links to the drivers. You'll have to look around the site for your driver.

If you have an ethernet card, installation will be much easier.

Here (with thanks to Fancypiper) is a site on things to do before asking questions. I hope you find all 3 useful.

Cheers for the reply.
Even in the links you have sent, the HowTo's still require the 'speedmgmt.tar.gz' file, which is no longer at the link on these instructions!!

Does any one have this file? Could they mail it to me?

Thanks
Steve

Do a google search for the driver using that name and pick the second result.
