Nokia 6610 data communication with Ir is not been able to install.
Friends please help me out from this trouble.
Iam using Red Hat Linux 8 and my cpu configuration is P IV 1.5 Ghz and 256 MB ram, using all other necessary devices. I get one new mobile for internet purpose. I also brought one Ir (infra red) port to connect my mobile with the PC. I search the nokia site for the driver but i don't find. I think they people don't like linux. They only make it for M$. Please help me out to find the following things. (1) Driver for Nokia 6610 (modem). (2) Driver for Ir (It is a port with USB connector). (3) Application to connect the Nokia device. (For windows Nokia give PC Suite 5.0) to connect the device and utilize the data. Please help me out from this problem. Thanks, Benoy Anthony |

irda-usb and n6610
ekey... (sorry for my english)
it's no use of such cpu info "P IV 1.5 Ghz and 256 MB ram" better say which kernel gcc irda-utils and describe your irda dongle if irda dongle is ma-620 i will help u if other we can find some difficulties. ;) i got my ma-620 workin' with rh9, but i had to compile 2.6.7* kernel and irda-utils 0.9.17-pre3 , made up and down scripts and it works. gnokii communicates with my nokia 6610 fine. |
