No sound using the 64 bit OSS 4 and new sound card (supposedly supported)

I have an X-Fi Xtreme Audio, said to work with OSS 4.0. I installed 4.0, restarted, did osstest (passed all of it) but no sound from my speakers comes out.

Grep of pcm:

lsof | grep pcm
lsof: WARNING: can't stat() fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon file system /home/finn/.gvfs
Output information may be incomplete.

04:00.0 PCI bridge: Creative Labs Unknown device 7006
05:00.0 Audio device: Creative Labs [SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio] CA0110-IBG

Dunno what that is about. I run Fedora 9 64 bit. It should be working, but it's not.

When I go to pavucontrol, it shows me no streams under playback, output devices shows nothing, and input shows nothing.

I'm trying really hard to figure out what to do from here.
