No sound - SUSE 10.1/Realtek AC97

I've recently installed SUSE 10.1, I have onboard Realtek AC97 sound for use with Linux (I would use the x-fi card, but there are no drivers for it) - but I get no sound.

I believe I have all the updates/patches installed, and YAST says "driver snd-intel8x0" under hardware>sound. I'm not sure if that means I have a driver though.

Suggestions?

I found the source of the problem.

My onboard sound is dead.

Looks like Linux is working just fine.
