It's there, but it wouldn't make a sound: Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB X-Fi

I installed ALSA snd-ctxfi. And now i got this: $ cat /proc/asound/modules
0 snd_usb_audio
1 snd_ctxfi

I have searched on google in several hours, and have not found any solution.

I've installed the XFiDrv_Linux_Public_US_1.00.tar.gz driver. But alsaconf doesn't work.

Smile Solved !

I didn't need to do alsaconf. I just needed to install the Creative x-fi driver. And do this:

in console # nano /etc/modprobe.d/usb-sound

in nano/editor: options snd-usb-audio index=1

The problem was that my webcam was set by default as 0.

So now i have Slackware 12.2 with sound on Soundblaster X-fi xtreme gamer!
