No sound on soundblaster 16 on redhat 9.0

basicly the title says it all

Is this an old Soundblaster 16 ISA card?

Try this one:

/sbin/modprobe sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=3 dma16=5 mpu_io=0x300

The irq might not work, to check what you are using already:

cat /proc/interrupts

The usual open IRQs are 7,9,11 and of course... 5. The rest should be good for the card though.

I'm having the same probs (see mp3 thread)

I can see that my SB 16 card isn't installed correctly but the above commnad doesn't work

ideas?
