No screens found

I am getting a "No screens found error" with mandrake10.1 and a ATI Radeon 9200 graphics card. Long story short:

-Everything fine in Mandrake10
-Could play Unreal 2004
-Installed Mandrake10.1
-Everything worked except could not play unreal 2004
-Installed ATI drivers and followed instructions
-got "no screens found error after running xfglrxconfig

I know there is allot of thread like this but every-time I try to use a solution I find from searching I seem to bury myself deeper. Could someone with a little patience give me some step by step help so I can at least get my drivers back running and MAYBE help get unreal 2004 going.

please proivde more output from X. the "error" you had is simply the very final result of something earlier failing.

I was just coming back because I realized I forgot that information. What is the text editor I should use to get the log file? or did you just want the information on the screen prior to "no screens found"?

is that really the output in the log file? not just the screen output??

Yes sir, I used knoppix to access xorg.0.log and post it here the screen output is considerably smaller.
You're starting to scare me a little, I can reinstall I just didn't want to if I don't have to.

it's just that there are no other errors at all... there's *always* some other reason for it....
