I'm trying to install Mandrake 9.1 onto a RAID 0 setup but I"m having problems. When it gets to the part during the install where it asks me to select one of the drivers listed my driver isn't listed.
I'm using a Gigabyte GA-7VAXP Ultra board with the Promise RAID. When I click on 'hardware info' during install, the Promise 20276 is listed.
Check the Promise website, native drivers for actual hardware raid, as opposed to Linux software raid, have only made it into the kernel very recently, and not with Mandy 9.1 if I remember right. There's a funky install set-up for these cards currently.
After I go to the website and grab the driver, how do I go about and install it? I don't get an option during the install like Windows 'have disk'. Also, it's not a card, it's onboard.
Man, the promise web site sucks. Anyway, my driver isn't there and there isn't a linux specific one on the Gigabyte website.
What I need (I think) is the driver for Promise RAID PDC 20276 / MBFastTrack133 Lite Controller. Is there something that anyone knows of that I could use?
