No HDMI sound

Hi,

I'm running openSuse 11.2 x64 with KDE 4.3.4 on Lenovo Y550P laptop with Nvidia GeForce 240M video card. HDMI video works properly but with no sound. I unmute IEC958 KMix and tried the same with alsamixer but with no success. Also I can't see any HDMI output device in Yast sound settings and it seems that it should be there. Any advice?

Here are outputs of aplay:

Code:

aplay -l

Just to clarify:

Are you watching HDMI video on the laptop?
If yes, what application are you using? Kaffeine? Mplayer?

Are you watching HDMI video from your laptop via HDMI lead on a TV
or other external display?

Thx for reply hal8000b,

I'm watching video from laptop via HDMI on a TV. I tried with Kaffeine and SMPlayer, same result.

Update: as I understand in lspci output I can see my HDMI audio device:

Code:

lspci -v | grep Audio -A 8

Why it's not mentioned in aplay?

Problem resolved by updating alsa to the last version.
