No front panel audio on Suse 11.1

I am using Suse 11.1 x86 with KDE 4.1.3 I have onboard realtek sound card. My problem is that audio jacks on back panel of my cpu are screwed. So I am using front panel audio inputs and they work fine in my vista. They also worked fine in suse 11 where they were auto detected and configured. I didn't had to do anything. Now on suse 11.1 back panel jacks work ok but there is some problem and because of that sound only comes from left speaker. This is not a OS problem its an hardware problem.
If I connect my speakers to front panel, there is no sound. I have alsa driver, its framework installed. No luck still. If you guys want some logs/ output of some command, plz tell me. I am not good with commands.

Kmix did not works for me KDE 4.1.3.1 .
Thats why I install KDE 3.5 where Kmix is working fine , so it can configure how my sound should work
On the other hand if only the audio jack on back panel is screwed up repairing it is not a big deal , if you're familiar
with it.

Some mother boards have different sound chips for
front and back e.g. Realtek or Intel back and
ViaAC97 front.

So you will have to check it with 'lspci -vv' and
'lsmod' to see what is happening.

I GOT SOUND YAY............
I don't know what did it. This is what I did
Upgraded my kernel from package manager from 2.6.27.7 to 2.6.27.11, installed alsa mixer and played with its settings and also gnome-volume controls settings for a while and WHOLA I got sound from my front panels :D :D
