no color with tv card

I have a KWorld KWTV878RF. I was able to set it up using the information here, but it seems that my card can't get color for the life of me. Any ideas? I'm viewing through kdetv. I tried using mplayer to watch tv but all I could get with mplayer was a lovely green screen.

I'm not too much into TV cards, but maybe this is an issue of the configured TV standard (NTSC vs. PAL)

regards
