No carrier error
Hi, I have reciently been having trouble getting my win modem to work in Mandrake 9 but finally found the correct (i think) driver and installed it.
Now when I dia
l out it goes through all the normal processes (finding modem, initalizing, dialing etc) but it hangs on the dialing stage for about 2 mins then says 'No Carrier'.
Im pretty sure its dialing as if I pick my phone handset up I can hear the dialing tones.
Does anyone know what maybe the problem and how to resolve it?
