NIC wont start

Hi. I have a prob, i have a multi boot system with Winxp pro and Mandrake 9.2, when i boot from Mandrake to Windows my nic dont start, i have to shutdown and unplug the power cables and then start windows ?

I have no problems in Mandrake and the prob. only come when i boot from Mandrake to XP.....

Any1 help me ?

I have Dell Dim... 8200
2 NIC ( both rtl 8139 )

1. Please explain the "nic won't start" in detail, like, it has lights, but it doesn't get a DHCP address when rebooted into XP, etc.
2. Unplug exactly what cables, network cables, to get the NIC to come on, etc?

Hi again.
1. I have to unplug all power to the computer så power to the nic is gone.
Shutdown wont work, must allsow rip all power from the computer

And the prob. is that i can not get dhcp from my ISP dont work under windows if i dont do like in (1.)
