Unhappy nforce network on kernel 2.6

I am having trouble getting the network to work on an a7n266-vm mobo, which is nforce2 based.
The network card would normally use the nvnet module on kernel 2.4 but the module wont compile under kernel 2.6 (and is the only thing holding me back from kernel 2.6).
Does anyone have any experience with getting the nforce network to work under kernel 2.6?

It doesnt matter now I found the answer.
If anyone happens to need this answer any time later then there is an experimental driver built in called forcedeth but is labelled experimental nvidia driver under Device drivers/network support/ethernet(10 or 100mbit)/EISA, VLB,PCI and other onboard controllers/reverse engineered nforce ethernet support.
