nForce Driver Support after Updating the Kernel

I am using Fedora Core 4 32-bit and my main board is MSI K8N Neo2 Platinium (s939 nForce3 mobo). I have installed nForce drivers from nVidia site and it worked perfectly. However after installation i updated my kernel, when i boot the machine with the old kernel there is no problem but if i boot the machine from the new kernel eth0 and on-board audio card is not detected.

I know that nForce driver compiles itself based on the current kernel version so the error is acceptable. How can i re-compile the nForce driver according to my new kernel?

Hi,

In fact it does not detect your nvidia drivers 'cause they are located in /lib/modules/2.X.Y-Z where 2.X.Y-Z corresponds to your old kernel version. And now your current running kernel searches drivers in /lib/modules/$(uname -r).
So just recompile your drivers and it should reinstall them in the good directory and they should be available for you current kernel
