newbie help with dc rom and network card

i just installed linux i have a nivia g force 4 viedo card
the cd for it also loads drivers for my ethernet card and sound
im using gnome i click the cd icon in root so i have access but when it opens it there are no files listed i need to be able to run the set up off the disk or find drivers some were for it

i dont use gnome, so this may be what gnome is trying to do when it gives you a no medium thing

try "mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom" then if it doesnt complain 'cd /mnt/cdrom' 'ls' and your files should be there ..

if you get an error message when you do 'mount /dev/cdrom' do a 'tail /var/log/messages' and see if your getting any errors in there
