New SBC for network tasks?

I am trying to source a Single Board Computer for basic network tasks at home. Requirements are

1. Run linux - I don't care if it's pc compatible
2. Low current consumption - no fans. Silence.
3. Has gcc or some compiler available. That way I can do a linuxfromscratch and uClibc if needed. I don't want or need X.
4. A network card, I suppose ram and flash disk. Usb would be nice. I _do_not_ want to have to wrestle with every last detail for weeks just to get minimal operation like I found with my 64 bit laptop recently. I do not want to write my own drivers - yet.
5. Keyboard input at least.

Does it need to be very small? The price and performance of the new Atom based Mini-ITX boards are hard to compete with. Unless you absolutely need this device to be the size of a playing card, it would probably be a lot better for you to just go that route.

No I was not looking for very small, but low power and fanless were in the forefront. After reading some of the bilge and marketing drivel in the websites I now have all the search terms I need. Thanks. I did see an awful lot of cpu fans, however.
Now I'll compare them with arm based stuff.
