Unhappy New hardware; should I buy or not?

Hello all,

I am newbie, therfore forgive me if asking something obvious!

I planned to buy some new hardware, TFT monitor and Cordless keyboard&mouse combination. I have (not too cheap) tender from retailer, from a Logitech Cordless DEsktop MX keybpard and mouse combination, together with Viewsonic VP171B Display.

Before I going to accept the deal, I want to know if I can use those with my Mandrake 9.1 Linux, and if it is possible to use DVI connection between nvidia card and TFT. Can anyone help me?

No, linux compatible does not list these hardwares (well, at least directly). I have heard that PS2 Cordless should work. Problems I think can cause extra keys in keyboard and mouse.

There is no information ever found from (e.g.) google from the TFT. Mandrake should recognise VP181 and VP151, but I am not sure if 171 can be used either of those settings.

Well, need to think still a bit. Does anyone else know?

Hey, thanx for the responce
