Yes, nvnews is good, but also I have found LOADS of invaluable info just in the README that comes with the driver downloads. I'd been using my display(s) with an nvidia AGP card (VGA+Composite) until my motherboard died, so I'm fairly familiar with the ins and outs of setting up nvidia display settings. The biggest difference on my new setup is that it's PCI-E and a different model of card (eVGA 7x00GS as I recall, lol, can't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was CHEAP, and that's the most important thing at the moment).
I haven't however ever had the need for the int10 module, so thanks for that tip! If I run into trouble I can't get past, I'll look you up :)

Did you manage to use the video cards in SLI? I always thought the only chipsets able to do it were from nVIDIA and that a 975X could only do CrossFire but not SLI...

It's not something I've tried, so no idea whether it works or not. There's a lot of conflicting messages on whether it is supported or not - google "intel 975 sli" and you'll have a selection of "Yes Intel 975 supports SLI" and "No Intel doesn't support SLI" links. Luckily it's not something I want to do, but if you did want to do that, then it's probably safer to go with the nvidia chipset.
