network question at boot

I'm running a very stable webserver with Debian at some very old hardwares. One of the minor details which annoys me from time to time is the following:

At boot time I am asked if I'd like to boot from the network before even lilo is started. Can I kill that nag? This would enable remote reboot from a ssh on a secure internal connection, instead of plugging monitor and keyboard to the old box. Anyone?

There is often an option to disable a network boot within the systems bios. If it isn't an onboard card then it may be avialable just after post using a key combination. From memory some cards use "Crtl+F" and "Ctrl+N". Perhaps you could find out more from the manual for that card.

If you still have problems perhaps you can give use some more information about your hardware and bios version.

Either disable the network boot option in the BIOS, or change your primary HDD to the first boot device.
