Thanks for the quick response.
Network restart already tried no result, and here is network-script.
# Linksys|NC100 Network Everywhere Fast Ethernet 10/100
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
BROADCAST=xx.xxx.x.255
HWADDR=00:0x:xx:xx:xx:xx
IPADDR=xxx.xxx.x.x
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=xxx.xxx.x.0
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet

I will try these options in the morning after I am sure I understand what you mean to do. Thanks for the suggestions.
I see you have a dual RH--FDC2 machine too. Mine has apache server all mods, jakarta tomcat java environment, mysql-standard, perl, php, and development tools. I am working very hard to build a dependable server that I can rely on before I go on line. I will post results in the morning.

Here it is again after running setup---It still disables after logout-log back in. By the way, I edited the first post with xx.xxx.xx.x etc.

DEVICE=eth0
ONBOOT=yes
BOOTPROTO=none
IPADDR=192.168.3.3
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.3.1-----for smoothwall
TYPE=Ethernet
USERCTL=yes
PEERDNS=yes
IPV6INIT=no

Nope that did not do it either.! I will have to keep trying, I can see my web server content but no WAN untill I reboot. I have a post out at smoothwall firewall to see if it might be an issue there too.

I have determined that this problem only occures on the FDC2 and not on RH9 that are dual boot on same server. so I thought it might help to know this masand.
