Hi,

I recently installed Kubuntu (the newest stable version) on my Sony VAIO VGN FE890N/H. Everything has gone well aside from I just noticed that I have no sound output.

I have not been able to find a driver that works mostly because I am not sure exactly what sound card is installed on my computer. I looked at the spec on Newegg and it had it listed as 'Sony Sound Reality - Audio Enhancer'. A quick google search turned up nothing, and so I turn to the community.

Does anyone know where the drivers can be found for this audio card? Or is there a generic sound card that might work (much like the realtek drivers on windows?)

I have found through the ALSA website that I have soundcore, the correct driver for my card, which actually turns out to be Intel. I am getting an error, which I have posted in a separate thread.

Can you please post the output from the command lspci
