need help with TWINMOS G240 USB STICK WLAN CARD
being a relative newbie, i had looked at every single thread regarding prism2_usb or wlan card in general posted in the past in this forum and beyond. so i know already about some familiar problems and routine procedures that were done and so forth.
my problem is that wlan0 interface cannot initialize. /proc/bus/usb/devices only has usbcore but no twinmos g240 or anthing thing new. i have prism2_usb driver loaded without problems. upon boot i get cannot access address error message in regard to a new usb device that is reported (but i only have /proc/bus/usb/1/1 still - usbcore). i also get heap of interrupt frame signal errors. i need help please. |
since my problematic ocmputer does not have network nor internet connection i have real trouble making log messages etc made available in this forum.
my kernel is 2.4.22-10mdk and my usb controller is ver 1.1. i use usb-uhci module. someone suggested not regarding my own but some elses case that one should recompile the kernel with certain features switched on, or with manual modification of usermap, since vender and product id may not be correctly recognised by prism2_usb driver. this is not an option for me since i only have 1.7gb hard disk and my computer is pentium1 (too slow and too little disk space). |
upon boot i am summoned error messages akin to below:
> usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# xxxx > usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# xxxx > usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# xxxx > usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# xxxx > usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# xxxx also my device is not present in /proc/bus/usb/devices. |
