Need help with choosing a SATA controller card !!

Hey there,

I was wondering if anybody could help me out. I am looking for a SATA controller to run under linux. I have already tried the Promise SATAII TX4 but it doesn't have kernel support yet. The drivers on Promies's website work but only under the 2.4.* kernel. I need to use the 2.6.* kernel. I also looked at the Promise SX8 but it is only PCI-Express and I need it for a PCI slot.

I was wondering if anybody knew of a good controller card that has kernel support and works without issues. It is going to be going into a production server so I need realibility. Can anybody suggest any controller cards? It is going to be used on Slack 10 or 10.1. It would also be nice if it supported 8 ports or if I could use two 4 ports controller cards on the same server.

Thanks guys.
