ok, im running an intel 810e board that i KNOW for sure has PCIs on it, but will an AGP card work in a PCI or do i need a specific AGP port? ive been lookin all over the net tryin to find an answer to this question and since im new to this whole 'AGP' concept, im still not exactly sure about the whole concept of AGP and if it is interchangeable with a PCI.... im a first time shopper for a graphics card and never have even heard of half this crap, and frankly im surprized bc im kinda a computer geek so if you would, please HELP?!?!!

agp is physically different from PCI. it uses a lot of common standards and principles, but cards are not physically interchangeable

You reckon you're a geek and you don't know about the different buses used in systems?

There's ISA, PCI and AGP on most. AGP is specifically for Graphics, whereas ISA and PCI can be used for pretty much any other internal device you'd care to think of.
