I had found a thread where they resolved the issue but I still don't understand Linux enough to understand what was actually done. Could someone look over this thread and then give me a step by step guide on how to get my GPU working? I know that might be asking a lot, but I'm too new to Linux to understand this. I'm hoping that at least this experience would be the platform for me to learn how to handle Linux in the future.

I'm using OpenSuse 10.3 and working on an HP Pavillion dv6000. Again, I'd be really grateful to anyone who could help me understand what I need to do.
