Need help... desperately.
I have just installed Linux version 8 and I am having a problem with my sound card. I’ve tried sound card detection but it doesn’t work. My computer is a 333 processor with a BUILT IN sound card. Any help would be appreciated.

What is Linux 8? I am guessing you mean RedHat 8.
Anyway, can you post here the output of typing into a terminal: lspci -v Cool |
First, next time use a better thread title.
Second, were gonna need a type of sound card, we can't guess at it as there are so many different types of cards out there. Third, have you tried sndconfig ? Fourth, What do you mean Linux 8.0 ? What specific distro are you using ? There are many distro's out there with a version 8.0. |
You guys are so much better at that than I am, I was going to ask
kinginjinn about the future (maybe get some scores on important sporting events, etc.), but I decided that it would just be rude. ;) Anyway, check out: http://www.alsa-project.org These guys are good about getting sound working. |
