I have a PowerFile C200 DVD Jukebox and I want to get it out of storage and put it on my Ubuntu Server. I have looked around and I have not found one, but I'm sorta new to the Linux world. I am hoping that someone can help me out here and point me in the right direction.
It is produced by the folks at http://www.PowerFile.com. It is several years old, but still looks fine. It only connects using FireWire. I'd really hate to have to stand up a windows server just to get this thing running again. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

From what I've read, it looks as if it'll use the generic Firewire 1394 drivers. That's just for the drive itself, not sure about the changer mechanism.
You can try MythTV, as it supports a good variety of hardware via Firewire, like cable boxes, etc., so you may get lucky. I've also seen references to a developers toolkit to allow changers to work via web pages, but that was for M$ Media Center...the web object may 'just work' on anything, though...like SCSI commands, it may be generic, but not sure how much work you want to put into it.
