Hmm - do you feel up to recompiling your kernel? I recently recompile my FC3 kernel (upgraded it, actually) to get my Gigabyte GA8-TRS350MT's DMA working. I would suggest you get most any distro, then download the kernel source and recompile that distro's kernel with specs for your motherboard.
I quickly went and checked my 2.6.12 kernel's .config file and there is a line called
which I -guess- means that your motherboard is supported - you just need a kernel compiled with that support. Don't know about your LAN card, though - I've got a RTL-8139 and my recompiled 2.6.12 kernel recognizes and works perfectly with it.
