My printer stopped working and cups...

Cups mysteriously got disabled in services, I enabled it and I cannot print at all, nothing happens with a test print or in a program. I dont get an error or anything it just sits there. any suggestions?
Yes the printer is on and works under windows. It was working under linux about a month ago i just had no reason to use it.

"any suggestions?"

Just a wild guess which may or may not work. Take a look at /var/spool/cups and see if you have something stuck on the print spool. If so delete it and see if that clears the problem.

try restarting cups.

*if it is a usb printer, try powering it down and back up.
