my power supply connector..

Does my power supply's fan connector was nesscary to connect to my motherboard.
because i about to add two case fan to my pc and the mob only got two fan connector onboard which was (all 3pin)power_fan1 and chassis_fan and i don't want to buy another connector

You could just connect it to one of the power lead comming out of the power supply.

but 3pin/4pin...

but my two new case fan both only has 3pin connector and all those connector coming out of the power supply was all 4pin. and i am asking that,
is it necessary to connect my power supply's 3pin fan cable to my motherboard!...
Also, i don't want to pay for the 3pin to 4pin switch adapter.
thanks

No you don't need to connect it to a three pin (onboard) connector. The four pin connector will work. There is one lead that is 12v and the other is 5v. You need the 5v (I think). You could just splice it into the case fan wires. That would be the easiest.

but ...

ok. i think my explain skill wasn't very good and i notice it from vary thing.
So, i would ask and please just answer this single question and it was that
Is it required to connect my power supply fan's 3pin connector to my motherboard?

thanks for help
i appreciate for that:Pengy:

I would to keep the power supply cool.

One time, for testing will the power supply stops working if i disconnect the 3pin connector from the power supply.
I don't really know why, but the point was that the power supply's fan keeps running without 3pin connector connected to motherboard.

My cpu was running at 120'f and my motherboard was running at 90'f now. So please tell me that is it necessary to connect this 3pin power supply fan cable to my motherboard.

thanks

It should not hurt it to test the pc. But you are on your own.
