My pc freezes so often that I cannot even enter the BIOS

This started two weeks ago, my pc randomly freezes for no reason. This happens after BIOS reset, while editing BIOS, before detecting IDE devices, before LILO boots, while booting, at KDM, after running the screen saver, using mplayer, downloading with DownThemAll, etc...

My pc specs:
Processor: AMD64 Athlon 3000+ 939 Socket
Mainboard: MSI K8N Neo2
HD: Serial ATA 200GB
RAM: 1GB DDR
AGP: FX5200-TD128 MB DDR 8X

I tried different BIOS configurations with no avail

First, make sure you are not overclocking the CPU or memory.

Second, make sure all fans are running, and the machine is dust-free, and heat sinks are properly attached (with no oozing compound).

Third, reduce your power demand (temporarily) by disconnecting unused devices and removing non-critical (to boot) PCI cards.

Fourth, make sure you are plugged in to a (working) UPS or surge protector, and that there are no other high current devices on the same circuit (laser printer, for example).

Fifth, make sure that you didn't leave a motherboard mounting post in the wrong position (can intermittently short traces).

If all else fails, swap out the power supply.
