My mobile phone could not detect my bluetooth enabled PC?

Hi,

I recently bought a USB Bluetooth dongle. I can send files from my PC to my Sony Ericsson P990i mobile phone but I couldn't do the other way around. I can't send files from my mobile phone to the PC. This seems to be working fine before using a different USB Bluetooth dongle which I borrowed from a friend. My mobile phone can't seem to detect my PC. It just won't show the name of the bluetooth device. Well, I don't even recall how I changed my bluetooth PC name. Can someone please help me out on this? Thanks alot.

You can specify the name of the PC in the hcid.conf file, which Slackware has in /etc/bluetooth/

You should also check your PC's bluetooth is set to discoverable so it can be seen by other devices.
