multifunction printer that works with Linux

What is the best newest multifunction printer that works fully with Linux ?

Have you looked about online? To be sure you may have to delve into the kernel you are using and see what is listed there. Hewlett-Packard are generally pretty good, but you would need to check before buying one, just in case. Also check the HCL on this site. The manufacturers may also list this information on their site, or even the packaging. Can't give details, as I rarely use a printer much less multifunction device!

Check here for compatibility:

I recommend HP as well. Epson also works, but is less good in many ways.

That question is a bit loaded. However, my personal preference is Samsung. The reason being is that they seem to make an honest effort at making their printers useful for all three of the major OS's (Win, OSX & NIX).

I recently bought the Samsung SCX4828FN and it works great. Their installation routine is not as simple as it could be, but provided you can follow instructions it works fine.

There are both printers and multi-function machines.
