MTP Support For Linux...?

So it seems that every day more and more MP3 players are using MTP for drag & drop functionality...I was wondering if anyone has been able to use an MTP device on Linux? I just got a Samsung P2 flash MP3 player which sadly appears to be useless on my OS.

Google reveals a project called mtpfs. It's a fuse filesystem that *should* support full drag-n-drop capabilities for MTP devices. I highlight "should" because I've never used it myself, and thus cannot vouch.

And another google seems to indicate that your device is one of those which work well.
