msi kt3v with usb 2.0

has anyone got this mobo?; also known as ms-6712 (kt3v) based on via kt333, msi claims that this mobo supports usb 2.0; well the quenstion now did you manage to get usb 2.0 working? (works nicely as 1.1 but it's a real pain in the ass to use 1.1 instead of 2)
i'm running slackware-current, with linux 2.6.8.1 kernel and have ehci_hcd module loaded. ideas?
