Hi bored_baybe!

Welcome to LQ.org. When describing a problem, try to be as descriptive as possible. Examples would be saying which distribution you use (because some has some tools helping to configure hardware, while others doesn't.) and also telling what kind of device you have, USB mouse, PS/2... etc.

Usually, mouse wheel support is done by adding (or modifying) one line at your /etc/X11/xorg.conf (or /etc/X11/XF86Config. This can be different from one distribution from another, and that's one of the reasons why it's important to give such details). Here is my example:

Code:
Section "InputDevice"
    Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
I've posted only the relevant line. If you don't have that line, add it. I assume that the other lines are correctly. Try adding that line, restart the XSession and see if it works. If it does not, please post your hole xorg.conf file here and give more details about your mouse.

Good luck!
