Mouse "event[x]" keeps changing...

KUbuntu 6.10 fully up to date with the following tweak to detect and utilize my Intellimouse Explorer wireless mouse...

http://ketsugi.com/panegyrist/howto-...ubuntu-dapper/

Each time I cold boot the box I have to re-issue this statement:

root@XPSLAPPIE:/home/grandnagel# cat /proc/cat /proc/bus/input/devices
and then re-edit my xorg.config to match the appropriate event...

Is there any way to guarantee it gets picked up the same way every time the box boots?

It's been attached to event 2,3 & 4 so far on various boots.

TIA,

D.

So I found this:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...3&postcount=50

but I don't see a way ro make it work with the Intellimouse setup.

Any suggestions?
