Mounting Pen-Drive: How to step by step


Hello:

Im very newbie on this stuff, so im going to ask very stupid things.

I wanna mount a pen-drive, but dont know nothing about it.

I've read about using a command on console, mount, but, dont know what follows. Could you explain me please the complete usage of that command?

Other stupid thing, is it supposed to be mounted on desktop? If not, where?

Thank you, i hope get it working and improve my knownledge
