Mounting hard disks & partitions

I'm probably spoiled by Windows, but is there a way to permanently mount drives
and/or partitons and browse the folders like Windows Explorer does? It seems
like a relatively simple thing to do, yet I don't know how. Thanks in advance.

Got specifics for us? Partition? Filesystem? Your /etc/fstab file?

I'm trying to mount a 2nd 120 GB HDD that's broken into 4 aprroximately 30 GB
FAT 32 partitions. I'm guessing that I need to know how Linux sees these partitions
(as hda2,3,4 etc) and add that info to the /etc/fstab file? Here's a copy of my fstab
file as it stands right now:

LABEL=/ / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hda9 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
/dev/cdrom1 /mnt/cdrom1 udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0

Thanks for your reply

Where is the drive connected?

If you don't know, post the output of

fdisk -l

My /etc/fstab:
Code:
# Celeron 850 tinwhistle /etc/fstab file
/dev/hda7	/               reiserfs	defaults	1 1
/dev/hda3	/boot           ext3		defaults	1 2
