Mount a USB2.0 I-Stick to Fedora Core 3


hi. i have just installed Fedora Core 3 and can't seem to detect the usb drive through system tools> hardware browser. does anyone know how i can mount it so i can access my usb stick??? my usb drive is a PQI i-stick. http://www.pqi1st.com/products/istick.asp

plug it in, look in systemlog or do a dmesg.
there should be an recognized device entry-/dev/sda or /dev/sdb (depends on USB-Slot).
mount it as usual with:
mount /dev/sda /dirname

ok here's what it says under the system logs:

an 24 18:51:09 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using address 6
Jan 24 18:51:14 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
Jan 24 18:51:19 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
Jan 24 18:51:20 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: device not accepting address 6, error -110
Jan 24 18:51:20 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using address 7
Jan 24 18:51:25 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
Jan 24 18:51:30 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: control timeout on ep0out
Jan 24 18:51:30 localhost kernel: usb 1-2: device not accepting address 7, error -110

so ideas how to solve this???

read something about problem between usb-device(s) and kernel 2.6 with BIOS "USB-Legacy-Devices" not correctly supported!?
