I am fairly new to linus and I was wondering where can I get a driver for my motorola cable modem Sb5100. I am using the USB cable and I have Mandrake 10. The OS sees the modem in the 'Other devices'. I would appreciate it if anyobdy could help.
I have the same modem and it works fine with ethernet. If you have a nic in your box, that's the easiest solution. I found ethernet to work better in both windows and linux. I tried to get usb working with the modem back in mdk8.2 but at that point there were no drivers available and I went to ethernet and never looked back. Don't know what kind of usb-ethernet support is out there now but performance is definitely better with ethernet in both windows and linux.
I'm working with MDK 10 and i have problems with the modem.. I don't know wath to do..I have the box of the modem but i dont know anything about the configuration of my system .. I'm new in linux and i dont know how o configurated m y system...Can anybody help me?
