monitor refresh rate set too hight
 
hello everybody.

I was just playing with the new mandreke 10 and i set monitor refresh rate too hight so now all i see is line wihen i boot into linux.
how do i go about changing the refresh rate of the monitor back to something more exceptable.

get your monitor instruction manual, tha will give you tcceptable refresh rates.

edit the /etc/X11/xorg.config or /etc/X11/XF86Config file with a command line text editor like 'vi'
ctrl-alt-F2 while booted will give you a command line environment.
as root 'init 3' will shutdown X. then restart X when you have edited and saved its config file.
