monitor + Mandrake 9.0

Hi all,

I recenlty changed my monitor to a NEC MultiSync XV15 and my system has got Mandrake Installed; It seems that my monitor doesn't get sync with installed Mandrake and am not able to enter the LINUX partition at all.

A screen with jazzy blue lines comes up when I click linux option in boot loader.

Appreciate your help.

thanks,

Matt

You need to edit your X server config file and change the hsync and vsync values to the ones specified in your now monitors user manual, you can edit it in any text editor as root and the file to edit it /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 for XFree86 or /etc/X11/xorg.conf for xorg.

And please do not report your own posts just to get a reply, this site is viewed by people all around the world in different time zones so replies can sometimes take a while.
