kppp is just a frontend for pppd so if you get it working again type this in a konsole:

ps -ef | grep pppd

...and write the result down. Then verify that everything it uses is in /etc/ppp/options except the -detach

(oh and ignore the output line that says bla bla bla grep pppd if that wasn't already obvious.)

But before we get too confused, which dialers are you trying to use and which ones work? I switch between kppp in the gui and my ppp-go script which calls pppd with chat when at a console.

Where's that mylogin bit?
Do that command after I've established the connection?
Should I try removing the BTI nameserver entries from the various files?
/etc/ppp/resolv.conf looses the ones I added anyway...

FYI I'm using kppp.
I saw no mylogin bit in /etc/ppp/options...
