modem help
 
when i use kppp i set the modem to tty0 in windows it is com 4

and when i use none for flow control the modem says it is ready then it says it is initializing the modem but i wait for a long time and nothing happens and when i use any other ports tty1 - 3 it says the modem is busy and all the others it says it can't open the modem:newbie: please help

serial ports
 
The serial ports are /dev/ttyS0 through /dev/ttyS3. I think that you want /dev/ttyS3.
