Maybe someone else here might have some good news for you guys but i wouldnt get my hopes up just yet.Theres not very many modem drivers out for 2.6 (that i could find).I fought with a pctel modem for 2 weeks on the 2.6 kernel until i just gave up and started running mandrake 10 on kernel 2.4.You might start by searching on google for linux modem drivers.

Thanks liljim for the info. I've been searching for the driver for a few days now and the only thing I have picked up is some bad spanish and german for my troubles.

I'm thinking of running mandrake 10.0 on the 2.4 kernel in the mean time, just like you are. Can you point me in the right direction so I can do this??

Thanks mate

Others may disagree but i find 2.4 more stable anyhow. What is it that that you need to know about running 2.4?The kernel is on the cd's.Just go to rpmdrake in KDE and search for kernel. The kernel source however, will have to be downloaded and installed before you can install and drivers. Here's a link to the kernel source im using...default version of 2.4.25-2mdk in mandrake 10.

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i586.rpm.html

Im not exactly a linux expert but will be happy to help if you need anything else..

**i belive there 2 or 3 different versions of the 2.4 kernel you can choose from, whichever one you decide on you can visit the link above and search for the matching kernel source. You WILL have to have it.
