"mkdir: cannot create directory `foo': Read-only file system" on FAT32

I have a problem with FAT partition. I mount my FAT32 partition (hdb3) when my system starts. The fstab entry is as follows:
Code:
/dev/hdb3  /wind  vfat  rw,user,auto,umask=0  0 0
At first everything works fine, but after about one hour I get the following message, when I want to write on this filesystem:
Code:
Read-only file system
It is the same with mkdir, touch, rm and so on. It also makes no diference if I am root or anyone else.
I have found the following in /var/log/syslog:

Code:
Nov 26 21:18:26 debian kernel: FAT: Filesystem panic (dev hdb3)
Nov 26 21:18:26 debian kernel:     clusters badly computed (511 != 508)
...
Nov 26 22:02:26 debian kernel: FAT: Filesystem panic (dev hdb3)
Nov 26 22:02:26 debian kernel:     clusters badly computed (591 != 590)
Today it happend for the first time. The only thing I changed on my system is that I updated my edonkey-GUI. But it would be very strange, if this is the reason for this problem.
I recognized this, because the edonkey client permanently writes to this partition.
The last days I had problems with my IDE CD-Writer (hdd) so that my system froze a couple of times. Could this have damaged my partition?
Thanks!

Try this for your fstab line:

/dev/hdb3 /wind vfat iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=850,quiet,umask=0 0 0

or

/dev/hdb3 /wind vfat user,exec,auto,defaults,quiet,umask=0,rw 0 0
