mirror root volume group


Hey guys,

I am attempting to mirror root vg onto a second disk on the server.

I am compitent at performing this in HP and AIX however because I am faily new to linux I'd like a procedure to:

configure the disk once installed
mirror rootvg

any help will be great.

I tried that awhile ago... it ended up in a vg corruption. Fortunatly I was using a seperate VG. You have the options in lvm mas they're not documented.

I've spent alot of time researching and trying and then finally gave up. ITs still not up to the job as in HPUX...

My recomendation, if you want to try it, is BACKUP but even with backups try it on a different VG or on a test machine.

If you success in doing it, please post it here. I'd love to try it myself on linux.
