middle mouse clicks on ASUS Eee PC 1005HA

Hello,

I was seriously considering buying the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA, but it has a single mouse button over a rocker, and I don't know how I would do middle mouse button clicks (or right and left click at the same time) for pasting in X.

I really hate enabling touchpad clicking, so I hope that's not the only answer (it's a multitouch touchpad, so I assume at least that would work). Is there an X setting for the Emulate3Buttons speed/sensitivity, so that rolling across the rocker real fast might register as a middle click? Or do both buttons actually have to be down at the same time? Am I imagining the rocker assembly wrong, and both sides can actually be clicked at the same time?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have a 1005HA, and it actually registers separate left and right mouse clicks, depending on which side of the button you press. it is also possible to register a middle mouse button, if you press the left and right side down at the same time (the bar is somewhat flexible).

A few quick Q, since I'm thinking of picking up a 1005HA: does the mic work, how's the wireless speed?

Aside from the poor battery life and the barely usable drivers for via-unichrome graphics, thats why I hocked my hp 2133, and I don't want to find out they don't work after I buy!

Thanks!

1005HAB has a 3 cell battery (the one that i got), and i think it lasts about 3-4 hours with a normal version of xubuntu.

iv been really happy with the wireless speed (haven't had any other netbooks, so i don't really have anything to compare it to). i have experimented with google wave, and it actually had a really good response time.

the kernels of most distros don't come with the required internet drivers yet (i think the next ubuntu will come with them), but its pretty easy to install it: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...&highlight=Eee

the front mic doesn't appear to be working atm (towards the bottom http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/to...-users-wanted/)

also, i find it to start up the normal xubuntu install suspiciously quickly. it may be my imagination, but i think its beating my 3.16 dual-core desktop (running mint) :-D.
